Mr. Lee’s professional career began with his family's Taiwan-based TAFA Shipping Company, where he quickly rose to become CEO of TAFA Real Estate Development Company from 1973 to 1983. Mr. Lee immigrated to the United States in 1983, founding TDC three years later. He has since assembled significant land holdings in the New York City metropolitan area, primarily focusing his acquisition and development on downtown Flushing, Queens, where he has been highly active in the social and political affairs of the community.
Mr. Lee has developed a rich portfolio of large-scale residential and mixed used projects, many of which have received awards for design and construction quality. Mr. Lee’s vision for the transformation of Flushing has been highly praised and supported by public officials on both the local and state levels. A global citizen with a global view, Mr. Lee has long recognized the enormous opportunities for U.S.-Chinese cooperation, and has built an international real estate presence in China starting in 1998. He has since formed a joint venture with Shanghai Construction Corporation and assembled significant land-holdings for future large-scale, mixed-use developments.
