According to Mayor Michael Bloomberg, the city’s selection of a developer for the Municipal Lot 1 site, was “the biggest thing to happen to Flushing since the arrival of the Mets.”

Flushing Commons is a joint venture partnership between TDC Development and the Rockefeller Group Development Corporation. Working closely with The City of New York, the development team will build a mixed-use development of nearly 2 Million sq. ft. around a new one-acre public park/plaza, giving Flushing a much needed townsquare, and transforming its downtown.
