The F&T Group always has between three and five architects on staff; thus, the design aspect of any of the Group’s projects is managed internally, from conception to completion. Led by Senior Vice-President of architecture and planning, Howard Hsu, who is also an expert in city zoning and parking issues, TDC Development generates the initial concept and design for the majority of its developments. Under Mr. Hsu’s guidance, and for many of its largest projects, TDC assembles highly experienced design teams with planners, architects, and designers from all over the world to help it implement its international vision.  In addition to registered architects, urban planners are found within the ranks of The F&T Group. Particularly in Flushing, The F&T Group has worked to advance a long-term redevelopment scheme that takes into consideration the interplay between separate projects and diverse uses within a single development zone.

TDC Development has been particularly successful in municipality-issued requests for proposals due to the strong teams assembled and the company’s urban planning and design expertise. In partnership with The Rockefeller Group, TDC won the RFP to redevelop the 5-acre municipal parking lot in Downtown Flushing. Meanwhile, TDC has been selected as a finalist in the 61-acre Willets Point RFP competition.
